Brian Robeson is a thirteen-year-old son of divorced parents. As he goes from Hampton, New York on a plane to visit his father in the oil fields in Northern Canada for the summer, the pilot gets a heart attack and dies. Brian tries to land the plane, but ends up crash-landing into a lake in the forest. He must learn to survive on his own with nothing but his hatchet—a gift his mother.

My favorite part is when they have a bake off - they all sound yummy, but I really like ( spoiler alert) when they work together and they tied in the bake off!

I love the jokes and comic strip form that makes up the book. I could barely stop reading.

I love when the grandpa gives him his special toys.

I have read this before and still enjoy it!

This book was AMAZING! It sent me into an entirely different world and I felt like I was truly their. Mike Ford did an amazing job with this book as I will be recommending it to many people. If you love horror but drama too I suggest this book as I cannot tell you how much I love this book as I still have the chills.

This is such a great book. I can't wait to see what happens next

I rate this book 5 out of ten because I love all of the action that goes on while at the same time there is a bit of romance.

It was good because I like cooking.

I really enjoyed the sequel to the book Among the Hidden. The only thing that I disliked was that a good chunk of the book was only on Luke having problems in school.
